The Tony Blair Faith Foundation is excited to announce that this Tuesday 21 April, Tony Blair is hosting a gala dinner in Los Angeles to benefit Malaria No More. The Tony Blair Faith Foundation is working in collaboration with Malaria No More to eliminate deaths from malaria. This dinner will officially kick off Brit Week, which has been running for three years and is a celebration of the British connection with California - an enduring and solid relationship. An auction will take place alongside the dinner with lots of exciting prizes up for grabs.

I would like to pass on my best wishes to all those marking Easter at this time, the most important festival in the Christian calendar. The Easter story tells of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and reminds Christians of the eternal life, the new life, that is offered to all who believe in Him. We celebrate the freedom from past failures which Christ offers us and the hope which his resurrection holds out. I trust that this festival of new life can be a symbol of hope to others too - Christians and non- Christians alike.

Happy New Year to all of the Sikhs communities across the world celebrating Vaisakh Vaisakhi is the holiest day of the Sikh calendar. It marks the Sikh New Year and commemorates the year 1699 when Sikhism was given a collective faith and distinct identity. This festival has several key messages from which all of us can draw wisdom. It reminds us all of the importance of religious freedom and our obligation to defend this.

I have great pleasure in sending my best wishes to all those celebrating Pesach and commemorating the liberation of the Children of Israel who were led out of Egypt by Moses. At this time Jews contemplate the plight of their ancestors and celebrate freedom and the defeat of tyranny and oppression. I hope that all Jews will be strengthened in their faith and identity by this celebration of one of the most important religious festivals in the Jewish calendar.
