Imandeep Kaur, a new Faiths Act Fellow learns about life at The Springfield Centre, an inspirational place. As Faith Acts Fellows of The Tony Blair Faith Foundation. Steve Hirst and I were thrilled to be placed at The Springfield Centre in Moseley, Birmingham.  A centre with an extremely inspiring story to date, the centre describes that it is “impossible to write about the development of The Springfield Project without a sense of excitement and amazement at God’s leading”.

iEARN conference and Face to Faith

A couple of months ago, Tony Blair Faith Foundation’s Face to Faith's Relationships Development Manager, Maria emailed me inquiring if I'd be willing and available to facilitate a presentation on Face to Faith at an iEARN Conference in Kaohsiung, Taiwan this July. Being a newcomer to the programme, I wasn't sure if I was the right person for the job and shared my apprehension with Maria, who was, however, quick to assure me that I could do it. I checked the iEarn web site <http://www.iearn.org/> and liked what I saw.

Speech: Sheikh Al Nahyan welcomes Tony Blair and the Foundation to the United Arab Emirates

Today H.E. Sheikh Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor, Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) welcomed Tony Blair and the Foundation to teh United Arab Emirates. He spoke about his excitement about the collaboration between the Foundation and HCT in delivering projects that support multi-faith understanding and education.

World Malaria Day school winners announced

The Tony Blair Faith Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the World Malaria Day 2011 Schools Competition. Over 30 schools entered and the Faiths Act team at the Tony Blair Faith Foundation were overwhelmed by the inspiring acts that Faiths Act volunteers carried out. First Place: Central Model School System, Pakistan The students of Central Model School System, Khanewal used their biology lessons to learn more about malaria prevention. They visited local doctors to ask informed questions about the disease and learned more about Dengue Fever which is very common in Pakistan.
