My Friend Of A Different Faith Competition Winner: “A Person Who Showed Me The Other Side Of Life”

Posted by on Thu, 12/04/2012 - 10:35am
Face to Faith student Grusha from Apeejay School, Pitampura, New Delhi, India  "For those who have seen the Earth from space, and for the hundreds and perhaps thousands more who will, the experience most certainly changes our perspective. The things that we share in our world are far more valuable than those which divide us." These words by Donald Williams hold great significance in this contemporary era and deeply reflect the grave condition that the world faces today. We do not grow absolutely. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another.

Posted by Charlotte Dando on Wed, 28/03/2012 - 4:36am
Watch what happened when Faiths Act Fellows at Malaria No More UK Charlotte and Usman brought together representatives from seven different faith traditions to share a low budget lunch. How much change can you make from £1?  That’s the question we’re encouraging faith communities to reflect on.  Congregations, interfaith groups and individuals of faith are being challenged to live on just £1 of food and drink per day for 5 days to raise funds and awareness of the 1.4 billion people around the world who live below the extreme poverty line every day. Posted by on Thu, 15/03/2012 - 9:09am
This week millions of people from around the world have come together to raise awareness about Joseph Kony and the Lord’s Resistance Army. Having worked on this issue for a number of years, I would like to devote my blog to a brave, beautiful and bright young woman named Evaline Apoko who as child was abducted by the Lord’s Resistance Army but who was always cocooned by her faith. Evaline Apoko is 19 years old and is from northern Uganda. Growing up in a time of political instability and conflict, Evaline is no stranger to tragedy.
