Read Bio
Natasha Steele is 22 years old and from London. She grew up in a modern orthodox Jewish family, and this year with Myriam Volk will be working in London at the Jewish Social Action Hub with Tzedek. Since the age of 16 she has been exploring the world, going to countries with fascinating cultures and languages, constantly learning from the people she meets on her journey. Her most recent trip to Mali, as part of being a Faiths Act Fellow brought her into contact with people so inspiring that she came out with a new perspective on life. She practices Capoeira, can speak some Portuguese, juggles, can say “butterfly” in 3 languages. You can email Natasha at natasha.steele@faithsactfellows.org

Myriam Volk is 22 and Christian. She studied Maths and French at the University of Leeds. Now she is leaving the wild wind-swept moors of Yorkshire and her hometown of Liverpool for the shiny lights of London. There she will work as a Faiths Act Fellow together with her partner Natasha, hosted by Tzedek at the Jewish Social Action Hub. Over the next 8 months, Natasha and Myriam will work together to establish a hub of multi-faith action to eradicate deaths due to malaria. A random fact about Myriam: she gathers earrings in every place she visits and is a bit obsessed. You can email Myriam at myriam.volk@faithsactfellows.org

Why I want to Act - Natasha
London is a city rich with different cultures, people, and history. Having grown up in the suburbs, I have an appreciation for this diversity. I feel privileged to have been able to meet people from all walks of life, never considering our differences as barriers to our friendship.

Does it show? No. Does it matter? No. Mali in its own right is an empire within itself.
