What Can I Do?

How Can I get involved in Faiths Act?
Faiths Act is a global movement of grassroots action: mobilising ordinary people of faith across the globe to raise awareness and funds to help eliminate deaths from malaria. The movement is spearheaded by our Faiths Act Fellows: thirty young leaders of faith from the UK, USA and Canada who are spending 10 months as ambassadors for the Millennium Development Goals. The movement is being spread even further by our global network of Faiths Act Volunteers.
Faiths Act Fellows
Faiths Act Fellowship 2009-2010, Young leaders spearheading Faiths Act around the world
You can get involved in the work of the Faiths Act Fellows; thirty young leaders drawn from different faiths from the US, UK, and Canada who are spearheading Faiths Act. The Tony Blair Faith Foundation has launched this initiative in conjunction with the Interfaith Youth Core , which aims to build relationships among young people from different religious traditions by empowering them to work together to serve others. In this inaugural year, the Fellows come from a range of Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh communities. Their mission is to mobilise people of faith to raise awareness and resources to promote the UN’s Millennium Development Goals.
They will focus particularly on raising funds and awareness to help eliminate deaths from malaria. They began their Fellowship in August 2009 with 2 months’ training in London, Chicago and across Africa. From October 2009 until May 2010, they will be fostering a new generation of multi-faith activists. They will galvanize faith communities in the USA, UK and Canada to support those in Africa, and demonstrate that faiths work together they can do even more than they could apart. We hope to expand the Fellowship programme to other countries in future years. To find out more or to get involved with the Fellow’s projects, click here
