To all those celebrating Eid-Ul-Fitr and the special month of Ramadan, we would like to send our very best wishes for what was a very blessed month and a festival of great importance worldwide.

The month of Ramadan is one of the most important dates in the Islamic calendar. The Qu'ran was first revealed during this month and the wisdom of the special verses are given specific attention during prayers and recital worldwide. Fasting, one of the Five Pillars of Islam takes place during this month and is a powerful act of worship observed by the Muslim community worldwide, providing a spiritual dimension to the daily lives of Muslims.

Such an act of commitment and self control sends a very positive message to the rest of the world.

The month of Ramadan and the Festival of Eid is also a time of mercy and forgiveness, an opportunity for reflection and making amends. Let us all, across the faiths, take this celebration as an opportunity to renew and redouble our efforts to work towards peaceful co-existence.
