If you are a congregation
Faith leaders have a particularly important role to play in their communities, especially on global issues like malaria. The Tony Blair Faith Foundation believes faith communities, whether in the UK or Uganda, can unite to do something powerful to eradicate deaths from malaria – a preventable disease.
If you’re a faith leader, we encourage you to get your congregation involved by signing up to our e-newsletter to stay informed, using our sermon guides, and getting involved through taking action.
Use our sermon guides
We offer sermon guides that have been used by Christian and Muslim leaders who are involved with Faiths Act in Sierra Leone.
Our sermon guides have information on how to present the malaria message with a focus on children, healing and treatment, and caring for all. You can adapt the sermons for your particular congregation and use them in your community. Download our sermon guides online.
Host a congregational event
Host your own event as a congregation or combine events with another congregation even if it’s one of a different faith. Combining congregations is an effective way to support raising awareness about malaria prevention. Learn more about events you can host and download our printable event poster to get your congregation started.
Begin a discussion
Visit our Faiths Act congregation pages to download our "story of a bed net video" and watch it at your event to begin discussion.
Raise Funds for Sierra Leone

Orgnaise a fundraiser around malaria and donate money collected to our Faiths Act work on malaria prevention in Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is a country with only 126 medical practitioners for a population of nearly six million. We have over 100 priests, imams, and other leaders spearheading our campaign to prevent malaria. Learn more about our work in Sierra Leone and more about how you can help our work there.
