Join Faiths Act Washington!

Faiths Act is a global movement initiated by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation bringing young people of different faiths together across 75 countries to fight against disease and poverty. In Washington DC we've been organising simple, informal multi-faith activities to raise funds and awareness against malaria. By working together on a shared cause we are helping to build trust, understanding and respect between the world's religions.

The Faiths Act Fellows movement in Washington was set up by Avi, Randa, Benjamin and Sarah four of the Foundations inaugural fellows. Organised by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation and the Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core, this pioneering young interfaith leadership programme which paired 30 young Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Sikhs and Humanists, was designed to show that when people of different religions work together towards the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) they can have a crucial role in reducing conflict and saving lives. Through their multi-faith community fundraising initiatives the Faiths Act Fellows have raised over $140,000 - which Tony Blair has personally matched bringing the total funds to over $280,000. All of the money will go to leading charities in the fight against malaria including Malaria No More. During their fellowship these young people have had a huge impact in their local communities; reaching over 40,000 people and inspiring over 10,000 to act.
